# permalink bug

 * In 2.8 when you put a hyphen in the title the permalink adds triple hyphens in
   it. For example my title is “Naruto – Episode 01” the permalink becomes [http://www.mydomain.com/naruto—episode-01/](http://www.mydomain.com/naruto—episode-01/)
   this is on a fresh install blog so this is a bug which didn’t happen in 2.7

 * I can’t see a bug. This is how I’d expect it to display.
 * Its putting an extra hyphen in for each of your spaces. You can edit the permalink
   to naruto-episode-01 in ‘edit post’.

 * But in 2.7 it didn’t add the extra hyphens so I would assume it was a bug for
   2.8

 * I just got a serious bug in my permalink structure. After copy/pasting a post
   content from one of my blogs to another the one I copies into now has permalink
   problems by adding code to the end of the permalink rendering them broken. All
   of them even the ones that are months old:

 * what could cause this to happen and more importantly, how can I correct the problem.
