Permaliks problem

Hi,
I’m new to the Support Forum. I wanted to kindly ask for your help regarding one problem that I’ve been having:
Practically I have a website http://www.fratellibaseggio.it and when I type this address in the browser it is blank, if I type http://www.fratellibaseggio.it/home the page loads and all content is where it needs to be.
This happened after I’ve tried to update the theme and deactivate and delete the plugins as the creator of the heme advised me because the Visual Composer isn’t working. Everything went in crash and I’ve managed to restore the WP backend but this problem keeps existing.
