• Despite not having “Pro version” modules enabled or utilized, the free version of the plugin loads “Pro version” only module’s assets, adding bloat to the site. Not only that, but it also loads the unminified .js file rather than the (sitting there ready and available to use) .min.js file. This causes a performance score hit that needs to be chased down by developers when the site owner complains that their site is scoring poorly in tests they’ve run. If I haven’t paid for the “Pro Version” Pop ups module then why is the unminified version of “Magnific Pop Up” being loaded?

    Hello @jasonh1234 ,

Thanks for your questions. It’s better to ask these in the support section. A direct 1-star review hurts our motivation. You’re a Divi Torque user and you have the right to share feedback—I respect that.

    About Pro:
Pro is an entirely separate codebase. The Lite version should not load Pro assets. If anything like that is happening, it’s our mistake, and we’ll fix it as soon as we find it.

    About Magnific Popup:
We already use the minified file. I will check the assets again and see if there’s any way to improve further.

    Why we load Magnific:
Magnific Popup is used for the image lightbox (for example, in the Image Carousel module). When you click an image, it opens in a pop-up. This is not related to any Pro Popup Maker extension.
Additionally, this differs from “Popup Maker.” Popup Maker does not use Magnific. Magnific is only for an image lightbox, which the Divi theme also uses by default.

Can you tell me which Divi Torque modules you’re using? I’ll re-check with that info and make sure everything is correct.
