    hi everyone,

    we are currently having some serious performance issues with our multisite configuration. Since early Monday morning we are getting a constant 300 to 500 visitors (20,000 visitors / 100,000 page impressions since 11am) on one of our sites and our dedicated server is taking a serious performance hit.

    We could already narrow the issue down to Wordfence, since disabling the plugin immediately resolves the issue. Disabling live traffic analysis somewhat improved the situation but wait times are still too long.

    We haven’t had any troubles with Wordfence and this type of traffic in the past, so this came as quite a surprise.

    Live traffic does add some overhead, especially if you have a browser open to the page. I’m not sure you would be hit that hard with that number of visitors. Can you check your options page and screenshot the firewall rules and post them here or let me know if you want to email instead. Also, can you see what urls they are hitting?
