 * I’m running slimstat on a web page with about 10.000 page views a day. While
   I really like slimstat I have some performance problems I hope you can help me
   with.
 * I’m using the Javascript tracking method because WordPress is setup behind a
   caching server. While everything runs really fast the calls to wp-admin/ajax.
   php take about 800ms or more. Is there a way to include the tracking-script from
   another server?
    Also: Why is the table format INNODB? Shouldn’t a MYISAM be
   much faster performance wise?
 * Additionally there seems to be a problem with the automatic data purging feature:
   About an hour ago (at least) two “clear old data” processes were active. Which
   certainly wouldn’t be too bad, alas I had three OPTIMIZE TABLE statements running
   at once.
 * Thanks for your feedback!
 * Kind regards,
    Johannes

 * You will soon be able to store all the data in a separate database. As for the
   table format, you can actually choose (Maintenance tab) which one you want to
   use 😉 So you can switch to MyISAM if you like.
 * A vote for WP SlimStat would be a nice way to say thank you,
    Camu

 * Hey camu,
 * thanks for your reply.
 * I’m using slimstat 3.3, though I don’t see a way to choose the storage engine.
   Can I do it safely using the mysql client program as an alternative?
 * Also looking forward to the second database option. Do you have an ETA?

 * You’re right, you can go from MyISAM to INNODB but not viceversa, sorry. That’s
   because the official documentation doesn’t recommend doing that. So you may still
   try to do it, but please make sure to backup your data first and take all the
   precautions necessary to keep your information safe.
 * About the database option, we may have something ready by the end of this week,
   or next week at max.
