This plug in made my site map, and made it very clear on how to submit it myself.

The plug in also offers the option to give them your google password and username and it is supposed to submit it for you. I am the guy who does things myself and I am very happy. I have indexed two sites in ten minutes. The first site had the learning curve. The second site was so quick and easy.
