People can’t use <embed> or <object> in comments

  • Hello,,

On my blog people can’t use <embed> or <object> in comments. Only me as admin can use it. Is there a way to solve this?

    Greetings, Arthur

  • Yep. You could delete all of the locks in the WordPress code. Nobody in their right mind would tell you how to do that, but there is a way.

hmm so there is no valid way to let users (subscriber of higher) to put movies in form of an <embed> or <object> code?

Yes, in a post or page. Take a look in this discussion. http://wordpress.org/support/topic/363711?replies=3

I don’t think you really want to let people embed anything in the comments field, though.

it works with unfiltered_html on for subscribers of higher 🙂 So thanks for the link!

I know that you normally don’t want this but I’m not using wordpress for an blog but for an guestbook..
