# Pending posts indicator

 * Hi all,
 * I run a multi-user blog, and we make extensive use of drafs and pending posts.
   I see that comments has an indicator bubble on the dashboard with the comments
   pending count.
    I wonder why pending posts don’t have such a feature, since they
   are quite more important?
 * I found [this related](http://wordpress.org/support/topic/how-to-display-pending-posts-in-wp-27)
   topic on the subject and [this ticket](http://core.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/6290).
 * Does anyone know if this is by design, or is it supposed to be fixed sometime
   in the future? Am I the only one thinking this makes perfect sense?

 * PS_ Anyway, I’ve put toghether some code, derived from a plugin and some answers
   from wordpress.stackexchange that adds this functionality, but I’d like to see

 * They show on the dashboard, not on the menu bar. This is by design to keep the
   menu less cluttered, probably. But. Post to trac with your suggestion AND the
   how-to for changing. Maybe they’ll like it 🙂
