PDF metadata title field not updating

    Hi,

    We have a plugin that checks the title metadata field in a PDF and writes that to the WordPress post attachment title field. If the PDF metadata field is blank, the plugin uses “untitled” for the WordPress post title. When we use the Replace Media option, the plugin doesn’t appear to pick up changes from the PDF metadata. It’s almost like using the Replace Media function doesn’t trigger the same events as a file upload to the Media Library. Wondering if maybe we could look at improving the compatibility of these two plugins. It’s the only plugin we’re aware of that allows read/write between WordPress and PDF metadata.     Hi, sjnbham,

    Sounds like there is a conflict with PDF Metadata reader/updater. From what we can see, Enable Media Replace does its job correctly, so could you please contact their support team so they can further assist you?

    Thanks for the response. We’ll pursue updating the PDF plugin to integrate with Enable Media Replace then.
