    Hi,

I bought PDF Embedder Secure plugin because I need to show – well, secured pdf’s on my site (with no download available, and watermarked). I need, however to be able to embed pdf’s in other ways as well, with no security and free for downloading. Since I have the Secure PDF checkbox in the settings checked – all pdf’s I upload ends in the file /securepdfs/, which I cant use in other ways than with PDF Embedder! How can I upload pdf’s for other uses?

    Hi @sodapops82,

There are a couple of options available to you:

    1. If you are still embedding the PDF with the viewer but want to allow the download, use the Classic editor block instead and edit the rendered shortcode with the attribute download=”on”. This will enable the download button on that embedded document only. You can read more about the available shortcode attributes and how to use them here in our FAQ.
    2. If you want to permit the download via another method external to the embedded viewer, you are going to need to have a second, unsecured copy of the document. If you are only hosting content from your domain, you will need to uncheck that “secure uploads” option and upload the document into the regular /uploads/ directory. Or if you have access to a CDN such as Amazon S3, you could upload your non-secured content there for use by other download options.

If you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to send us an email to contact@wp-pdf.com as we may not see the forum posts in a timely fashion and we do normally handle paid / premium support via emails.
