    Hi there,

I have a pdf stored on my server in the /wp-content/ folder

I installed the plugin, created the shortcode, and inserted the shortcode into a Page.

When I view the page, sometimes the .pdf loads, sometimes I get the following error:
Sorry, it took too long to find the document at the original source. Please try again later.
You can also try to download the original document by clicking here.

This is not acceptable because its a .pdf of the menu for a client on a page where people order take-out...if the .pdf doesn't load the page is essentially useless..

how can I prevent this error from coming up when the .pdf is located on the same server as wordpress?

It's fine and normal to host your files on the same server as WordPress. So that's not an issue.

"Took too long" could be the result of several things - the server you're hosting on is slow, underpowered, or over-shared, making Google's request for the document laggy. A network issue (perhaps temporary) has caused a delay between your server and Google. Or, your source document is too large/not web optimized.

    Hope this helps.
