We have noticed an issue in the last couple of days.

When we make amendments to an existing order (Either customer details like a shipping address or products loaded to the order) where a PDF invoice has already been generated, and we click on the ‘PDF Invoice’ button under ‘Create PDF Invoice’ section to download the amended PDF invoice, the newly generated/downloaded invoice reflects the details as it was prior to the amendments.

This still occurs after you have updated the order and then Create the invoice.

We have noticed that if a different user than the one who amended the order accesses the order and creates the PDF, then the updated pdf is generated. If the user who made the amendment logs out of WP and logs back in, they can then download the amended PDF.

I’m sorry to hear that. I think this may be related to caching, are you using any caching plugins? We recently introduced a change that would reset the browser headers before loading the PDF (to avoid issues with other plugins setting faulty headers), but I think this may affect caching behavior. Could you remove the current plugin version (settings and existing invoices will not be affected by this) and install this one: https://we.tl/t-pDXyK5VNwX
Let us know if that indeed fixes the issue!

    Hi Ewout,

Thank you for the quick response.

We are not using any cashing plugins.

The installation of the link did resolve the problem.

    Thanks

Very glad to hear that – it’s possible that your host does have some sort of caching at their end too, but the most important thing is that this resolves the issue 🙂

    Have a fantastic weekend!
