PDF Button links work half the time. very confused

    I set up clickable buttons that are linked to PDF’s on other websites.

    The buttons work sporadically.

    Example.

    Click the button and it loads the PDF that it is linked to.

    Go back to my website again hit the refresh button then click the same button link and it reloads my webpage instead of linking to the PDF.

    I am so confused as to why it works some times and other times it doesn’t!

    This happens with every button. Sometimes 3 will work at once and 2 wont!

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    While that is very weird, try setting links to open in new tabs (target="_blank"). As well, check if you have any unclosed html tags. You can check for those using the validator: http://validator.w3.org/unicorn/.

    It’s really not a good idea to link to PDFs hosted elsewhere ….if that other site changes the PDF or the URL to it, your buttons won’t work at all.
