• Hi,

I have a pb with my subscribe2 widget on my blog. When the reader cliks on it, it appears just one or two seconds and then disappears. As a consequence, there is not enough time for the reader to subscribe or unsubscribe.
Your help would be appreciated to solve this issue

    Regards
    Sylvie

That sounds like you are using the AJAX style form and perhaps there is some conflict with another plugin.

I’d suggest you turn off the AJAX code for now in the Settings. Uncheck the setting “Enable popup style subscription form?” in the Appearance tab and then adjust the Widget settings (on the Widget page) accordingly.

    Thank you for the reply.
I disabled the AJAX subscription form and kept only the subscribe2widget. ON the widget page, the widget is viewed as a link. However, when clicking on the link, nothing happens except a redirection to the contact page as stated in the settings of the extension. No subscription or unsubscription mentionned.

There is no mention of “Enable popup style subscription form” in the appearance tab.

Do you have any clues to solve this ?

    Regards

If you have now disabled the AJAX form you can’t use the ‘link’ option in the Widget, you need to show the complete form or either of the options with a button hidden.

And as far as I recall from the code you shouldn’t have an option to display a link if the AJAX form is disabled.

    Thank you for your reply.

I disabled the Ajax form as you said ; displayed the full form in the widget pages and it works perfectly now.
You’re absolutely right about the “link” option not appearing anymore. However when I first disabled the Ajax form, I checked “the pop up” and the link option was still there.. Maybe the modification was not taken into account (or I did not properly saved, who knows…) at the moment I modified the widget page.
However, now it works the way I wanted.
Thank you for your very prompt replies and your help.
