    Hi.
IPN and Return URL is very well documented on your doc page
    https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/paypal-standard/#

But I’m still wondering when to use the extension ?utm_nooverride=1
    1) Can you explain under which circumstances I have to add the extension above?
“to ensure that transactions (i.e., conversions) are credited to the original traffic source, rather than PayPal.” sorry, I’m not quite sure what it means 😉
    2) The final URL with the extension would be
    example.com/checkout/order-received/?utm_nooverride=1
    ?

    Thanks for helping out!
    Cheers

    Hi @mappel,

You will use the ?utm_nooverride=1 part if you are using Google Analytics to track conversions on your site.

If you add ?utm_nooverride=1 to the IPN URL then the conversion will be credited to the original traffic source, rather than PayPal.

Let’s say a visitor came from a Google search for ‘gardening book’ the conversion will be credited to Google as organic and not to PayPal as a referral.

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – if you have any further questions, you can start a new thread.
