    1. Payment does process fine

    2. However client seeing the error attempts to pay again, resulting in some frustrating duplicate payments I have to refund, et al

    3. I have checked the usual smart checkout settings and all is well.
    I AM RECEIVING PAYMENT.

    4. Yes, I even took the payment form linked above and stripped all text from page, except the shortcode and all was fine, paid but pop up still appears.

    Shortcode:
    [wp_cart_display_product name=”SDA Shoot (Member)” price=”10.00″ thumbnail=”https://sandiegoarchers.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/01/san-diego-archers-background3.png” description=”SDA Member/Active Duty Military” thumb_alt=”SDA Club Shoot”]

    Ideas please?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Hi, do you have a cache plugin running in your site? If you do, have you excluded the shopping cart page from getting cached?

Yes, caching does not run on my shopping page at all.

And contacting PayPal they say the error is definitely on the scripting/website side.

Any other ideas as to why this pop-up error button just started appearing?

I can provide access and a demo page if that will help?

    From PayPal:

I also checked our logs and I’m not seeing any errors from our server end.

The error message that is being alerted is from the plugin, not PayPal. Did you write the code for this integration? Or is this a third-party plugin?

Hi, it looks like there might be an issue with the Smart checkout option only. Please check the following support thread.

Sorry to ask this rather off-topic question,
but I’m using the WordPress Simple PayPal Shopping Cart plugin now.

And you recommend WP Express Checkout plugin
given that the WordPress Simple PayPal Shopping Cart “Smart checkout option” feature is currently broken.

I’m worried about duplication of features or other issues that might arise in having both plugins installed.

So I guess the big question is:
What is the difference between the two plugins
and/or why might one just remove the
WordPress Simple PayPal Shopping Cart plugin
and use only the WP Express Checkout plugin?

Hoping you can clarify a bit more.

    Thanks!

Hi, the other plugin was recommended only if you really need this feature asap. However the developers are investigating this issue and a fix should come out soon.

I’m worried about duplication of features or other issues that might arise in having both plugins installed.

No, you should not have both plugin installed at the same time.

    Kind regards

These two plugins that I talked about should not have any conflict. So there is no issue with using them together. The standard paypal checkout will continue to work fine (this is actually the main/original feature of this simple cart plugin).

The smart checkout option of the Simple Cart plugin will need some changes. This will take a few days at the very least.

My apologies for the incorrect reply above.
