Normally, I used 2 options for PayPal and Card Payments customers, but after I installed and enabled PayPal Payments Pro 2.0 (PayFlow), I did not receive any order via PayPal option. Then I got a message “WooCommerce PayPal Payments ( ) is currently running in Sandbox mode and will NOT process any actual payments.” but I did not check the sandbox option.

Could you provide me a solution asap?

    Thanks!

You need to make sure Express Checkout is enabled for the PayPal option, and within that you’ll have options to add the PayPal button on product pages, the cart page, and the WC checkout page.

The message you mention would not be displayed unless the gateway was indeed set to sandbox mode (or at least wouldn’t under normal circumstances), so we need to double check those settings. Also, that message should be specifying whether it’s referring to Payments Pro or Express Checkout, but you’re just setting empty ()’s..??

    Hi,

I’ve enabled it a year ago with another plugin, but recently I’ve moved to your plugin.
Can you advise me on the next process?

I’m having a similar situation. Sandbox mode is not active, but I have the error message in my dashboard that “WooCommerce PayPal Express is currently running in Sandbox mode and will NOT process any actual payments.”

Hi @docpop, as Andrew mentioned this wont be activated automatically unless you explicitly enable sandbox mode in the PayPal express checkout settings, Please double check and make sure to activate live mode and start receiving actual payments.

Another thing to check that you dont have any cache / CDN’s enabled so that you dont run old settings from cache. Please make sure to clear all cache and then check again.

TLDR: re-installing the plugin seemed to fix the problem.

Hi Oliver, I don’t see a comment from Andrew (unless that is “angelleye”), so I feel like I’m not fully understanding your suggestion. Just in case I misspoke, I don’t want to be in Sandbox mode, so I have it disabled in the dashboard, however I am still getting a notice at the top of the page that Sandbox mode is enabled and thus I am not able to process payments.

I wasn’t seeing any option called “live mode” and I wasn’t sure what you meant by clearing the cache, so I just uninstalled the plugin and re-installed it. I don’t have that error message showing up now, so I’m hoping this is all fixed. It might have just been a bug where it thought sandbox mode was enabled, when it wasn’t. Sorry if that feedback isn’t helpful, but hopefully this is fixed and I can receive payments now. Thanks for the reply!
