Paypal Payments Not Going Through

    Hey team,

    Really loving this plugin! The only issue I’m having is when I try to make a payment via PayPal. Once I’ve filled out all the info I get redirected to Paypal but get the error message “Things don’t appear to be working at the moment. Please try again later.”

    Please advise?

    Hi @graphicbird,

    Apologies for the slow turnaround here. It looks like that site is no longer using GiveWP, but I would love to get to the bottom of the error message you listed there.

    Usually that error from PayPal means one of three things:

    1. Your PayPal account is not fully set up (or you used the wrong email in the GiveWP settings).
    2. You have Encrypted Payments setting turned on in your PayPal account. To turn that off, go to your settings in PayPal: Account Settings > Website Settings > Update Website Preferences > turn off Encrypted payments. PayPal’s interface changes often, so it might be a bit different in your setup, but the end result is the same, you need to turn off those settings.
    3. PayPal itself is having issues with downtime. The fix then is to just wait it out.
