  • Hey @mahroch,

Thank you for reaching out to Paid Memberships Pro.

I’m sorry hear that you’re having this problem. The most likely culprit is either a conflict with another active plugin or the theme. To better narrow this down and confirm, could you please temporarily deactivate all plugins, other than the core Paid Memberships Pro plugin, and test whether this issue persists and revert back to us? You can either deactivate them temporarily in bulk or work through them one by one. If the issue persists from there, revert to the default Twenty Twenty One theme. If the issue is resolved after deactivating a specific plugin or your theme, you’ll know that is the source of the conflict.

When you identify the problem, I suggest getting in touch with the plugin or theme author.

    Hi @michaelbeil,

thank you for help and effort.

for sure I can try it, but I believe it is not that case. Simply because, with the same setting it is working on the staging/dev web with exactly the same plugins, setting, etc.

My best guess is that it has some kind of cached old URL that was set at the staging web. And when I migrated it through DUplicator plugin to live web, it didn’t change the URL. But i don’t know how to overcome it. I searched for wrong URL in database, bud I didn’t find anything.

So, tomorrow I will try deactivate all the plugins as you suggested, just to be sure and let you know.

    Hi @michaelbeil,

so I did what you proposed – I deactivated everything except PMPro, activate theme Twenty twenty-One, but without any success. Even if only PMPro was activated at 2021 theme, no action was triggered when click on Paypal button.

Any other ideas? I would like to try redirect old web as suggested on page https://www.paidmembershipspro.com/troubleshooting-paypal-ipn-issues/ but no with s2 or WPmembers as the examples are, but with old domain redirect. Can you please help me with that?

    Thank you

    Hello @mahroch ,

I took a peek at your checkout pages and can see that you have reCaptcha information in the code on the live site but not on the staging site. This should not be inserted on the hidden button when using PayPal.

Can you disable recapture in the Memberships > settings > advanced area to see if this is the cause?

    Hi @kimwhite,

wow, thank you. After removing recaptcha it starts processing the click, yooohooo 🙂

    Now the questions are:

    1. will I be bombed by bots without it?
    2. if it is not working with it, why is it there?

Anyhow, at least now it works so I can continue in fine tuning.

    THank you once more.

Thanks for the feedback @mahroch, reCAPTCHA should work. It may be possible that there were some JavaScript issues on the page and causing the submit button to fail.

We’d need to know what version of reCAPTCHA were you using v2 or v3 and were there any console errors when trying to use reCAPTCHA?

    Hi,

I used v3 and there were not any shown errors. Only on click on paypal payment nothing happened.

@mahroch were you able to make any progress on this issue? I see that your site still has disabled reCAPTCHA on checkout – I haven’t been able to replicate the issue.

Here is a general troubleshooting guide that may help – https://www.paidmembershipspro.com/fix-membership-checkout-error-recaptcha-failed-missing-input/

Actually, I’m in free plan and as well I needed multiple payment gateways, so I switched to woocommerce solution. Therefore the problem of recaptcha with paypal is not a case. So I have recaptcha deactivated for now and it is not a problem.

But I will go through the troubleshooting for next client, just for educational purposes.

    Thank you
