PayPal for WooCommerce not working

    Hi there,

    i have a problem with setting up PayPal for WooCommerce. It seems to be an issue that repeats over time, there are several questions in forums about it.

    I have PayPal Standard and WooCommerce PayPal Payments installed, active and connected. Everything is updated. Its a regular PayPal Business account.

    Standard: “Things don’t appear to be working at the moment. Please try again later.”
    Payments: “Fehler im Bestellvorgang, Versuche es bitte erneut.”

    What can i do to fix it?

    Hi @evom,

    Please only use one PayPal integration a a time and disable all others as they could potentially interfere with each other.
    Does the issue persist when you disable all other plugins except for WooCommerce and PayPal Payments and also disable the PayPal Standard gateway?

    To better judge what’s causing this, we’d be interested in a copy of your WooCommerce system report and your latest PayPal Payments log files.

    The system report can be accessed from here:
    WooCommerce > Status > Get system report > Copy for support
    The plugin log files can be accessed from here:
    WooCommerce > Status > Logs > select “woocommerce-paypal-payments-[…]” in the dropdown and click on view.

    thanks for your help. I have dactivated PayPal Standard and one Plugin after one, but no difference.

    Update: I have reconnetcted the Plugin and now it shows all the Payment Buttons. But still the same error message.

    When i use the now showing classic PayPal-Button, there is another error message:

    [UNPROCESSABLE_ENTITY] The requested action could not be performed, semantically incorrect, or failed business validation. https://developer.paypal.com/docs/api/orders/v2/#error-PAYEE_ACCOUNT_RESTRICTED

    Update: I am using the Plugin “WooCommerce PayPal Payments” now and that works. I just needed my login data to make it work, because the plugins generates an ID an Key automatically.

    In most other cases you have to setup the Client-ID and Secret Key on https://developer.paypal.com/ manually. If you cannot use the same plugin, make sure to set up two addistional accounts (buyer & merchant) here and create a live-app to get the ID and Key.
