I’m confused. If I use PayPal as my payment provider, I pay 2.9% + .30 per transaction. Do I also have to pay WooCommerce a fee per transaction? Or am I confusing that with the newer WooCommerce payment system?

    Tks for your help.

  • The only fees you are charged are from the payment processor you are using – PayPal in your case.

    WooCommerce doesn’t charge any fees.

    Hi @rexall,

Just to clarify, WooCommerce itself does not charge any fees for your transactions. However, the payment gateway you use to receive payments may/will charge you for processing your transactions. So, if you use a PayPal payment gateway, you will get charged by PayPal but not WooCommerce.

That said, there is a payment gateway known as WooCommerce Payments. You have to install and set it up separately if you wish to use it. You can read more about it here: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/payments/

    I hope this clarifies.
    Thanks.
