    Hi,

    A customer bought a product today through my WooCommerce setup to be sold through PayPal. I have recently changed my email associated with PayPal on their end. I received a message Validation error: PayPal IPN response from a different email address (My email). Order status changed from Pending Payment to On Hold.

    I went in and edited my email address in Woo Commerce and selected process. It says that the order processed, although I did not receive a confirmation email from PayPal and it is not showing up on PayPal’s end. Message in Woo Commerce now is Order status changed from Processing to Completed. – It appears I can’t go in and make any edits…

    In PayPal settings, leave the paypal email as it was. Ensure sandbox is off. Set ‘receiver’ email to the one in the validation message.

    Okay, I did that and then I changed the order to pending payment. Nothing is happening…

    How do I receive the PayPal transfer? It is not showing up in my PayPal account.

    Changing order statuses does not magically take money – the PayPal checkout process handles this. Do a test checkout yourself. And I must stress, if sandbox is enabled no live funds will be transferred.

    I’m having this same issue due to a recent email change. Where exactly in Paypal’s settings are you changing ‘receiver’ email to the one in the validation message?

    I’ve changed the “Receiver email” to match what Mike/the error says.

    So is checking PayPal the only way to tell if the payment was made or not? And if not, I assume the only way is to have them checkout again?

    UPDATE: I checked their emails on PayPal, and all the payments had come through. However, since IPN hadn’t fired, the site/WooCommerce didn’t know they were completed. I marked them complete and that was all that was needed. On ones that purchased a membership (we’re using the WC Membership plugin) it even added the correct membership.

    i’m having this issue on some, but not all payments on virtual products. where is the Receiver Email to be changed in woocommerce or in the paypal account?

    In WooCommerce. Under WooCommerce>Settings>Checkout>PayPal>Receiver email field. Then set that address to the one in the error.

    Could you please help me on how to reprocess the payments? I fixed my receiver email to the same one but it still hasn’t processed the initial payment through paypal.

    I tried changing my order status to pending payment and completed but it hasn’t worked.

    Any help would be very appreciated, thanks!
