    Hi there,

    New to WooCommerce and using PayPal Express.

    I did my first live payment and it’s on hold because PayPal is holding the payment for 7 days. Will woocommerce continually check the status of the payment (cron?) and complete it when the payment is released by PayPal?

    If not, is there anything I can add or do that will solve this?

  • Hi @vermaakpetrus – Was the payment held by PayPal for account verification? If so, the order should automatically update as Paid, though I’d suggest keeping a close eye out for now.

    Not account verification (I’ve made sure all that is fully completed), but its the first time I use the paypal account. From what I read online is that they do that with the first couple of transactions, and then its all good to go.

    Will keep a eye out, good to know it’s supposed to update!

    In that case it should automatically update, though I’d still suggest watching out for any movement. 😁

    Found out the problem is that woocommerce paypal checkout tells paypal the order needs to be shipped, even though I have disabled shipping in woocommerce settings and have the product as virtual.

    How do I tell PayPal Checkout that it does NOT ship pls?
