    Hello,

I have setup the GiveWP plugin and connected a business (non-profit) Paypal account. For payment gateways I have enabled both PayPal Donations and PayPal Standard.

The two options are shown in the donation page, however the credit card fields does not display as expected. I have been playing around all the options of the plugin and cannot see any settings affecting this.

Only a PayPal and Venmo buttons are shown.

Is there something else I could be missing? Or is this a setting under the connected PayPal account?

    Thank you!

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi Elvis,

    Happy to clarify.

PayPal accounts that are connected to the PayPal Commerce Platform (and have the permissions set to display card fields directly on the page) are the accounts that will display the fields directly on the page.

All other types of accounts instead have the button that opens in a modal to accept cards. This is based on support for PPCP on a per-country basis, and is controlled by PayPal.

Hi Rick, thanks for your reply.

Just to make sure I’m in the right direction, could you share with me where inside the PayPal Account I can verify if it’s connected to the PayPal commerce platform and have the permissions set to display card fields directly on the page?

    Thank you!

    Hi @elvismdev,

You cannot check if the account is connected in your Paypal account. If it says “Connected” in GiveWP, under Donations -> Settings -> Payment Gateways -> Paypal -> Paypal Donations then we assume it’s connected.

If you are not seeing the credit card option, please ensure that:

    – Your account is either Premier or Business.
PayPal Account Optional is turned on.
    – The email address you use to log into your PayPal Account is verified.
    – Your bank account is linked and verified.
    – Your credit card is linked and verified.

To enable the PayPal Account Optional feature:
    – Go to your Account Profile.
    – Select: My Selling Tools
    – Under: Selling Online
    – Locate: Website Preferences
    – Click on: Update
    – Locate: PayPal Account Optional
    – Click: On
    – Click: Save`
