Hi, Does paypal see the website that the donation is coming from when a user makes the donation? i.e. – If I click to make a donation on website.com >>>redirected to paypal donation page – what information does paypal have on their back end?? do they know which web address the redirect is coming from or ip or none?

Hi @jonathanpotluck,

PayPal tracks this, but doesn’t share this as far as I know.

The PayPal IPN has a variable for custom which is the website of where the sale started. If you wanted to write your own code, you could do something with that.

Thanks. What would the code for this look like and where would I find it/place it in order to mask our site as the “referral path”.
