[resolved] PayPal account changing (5 posts)

I am a new user of WP and I have a working webpage what I am working with. I have a MarketPress PlugIn and I am using PayPal Express Checkout payment.

Everything was working fine, but now I have to change the PayPal details, because I have a new PayPal account. So I went to PayPal and created a new API signature (username, password, signature). I thought it will be easy to change, so a I went on my WP/Store Settings/Payment Settings and changed the details. Unfortunately it doesn't work :/ When I try to buy something I get an Error Message "here was a problem finalizing your purchase with PayPal. Please go back and try again.
10486 - This transaction couldn't be completed. - This transaction couldn't be completed. Please redirect your customer to PayPal."

Could you help me, what would be the problem?

Do I have to change some other options as well?

    Many Thanks

  2. Hi @pasareti,

Sorry to hear of the problem you are having.

There are various reasons of this issue.

Most of the time when this error occurs it is often that a blank space is added to the credentials when copying and pasting them - which is a common occurrence.

Please check that the API User Name, Password, and Signature do not have spaces at the ends of them.

You will find more information about this error on the following page.

    Dear WPMU DEV,

I've checked and unfortunately all the username and other API signature information are correct.

I will look throw all the link what you posted for me and hope I will find something but nothing till now.

Maybe can you tell me, that if it was working before and I just changed all the API signature information should it be enough? Or is there anything else what I should check?

    Kind Regards,

  4. Hi Pasareti,

    Thank you for your reply.

Apart from the API signature information there can be other reasons that can cause the issue as explained in the replies provided on the links posted in the previous reply.

    Best Regards,
