We are facing with an issue for quite some time.

With the banks which are using 2 factor authentication and the customer must approve the transaction with mobile app, the transaction succeed but after that the user is not redirected to success page but remains on checkout page.

This means that user can make another transaction since he is not sure. It is possible to make as many transactions as you wish.

So, we must return money to customers bank accounts constantly.

    How can we solve this?

    Hi @biokatka,

I am sorry to hear that this is happening to your site. Can you tell me if this is happening to card payments?

Also, I’d like to see how your site it configured. Could you please send me a copy of your site’s System Status? You can find it via WooCommerce → Status. Select Get system report and then Download for support. Once you’ve done that, attach it here in your reply.

We look forward to assisting you further with this issue.

Hi. Yes it is happening to card payments with 2-factor verification. At the end of the checkout, it is not redirected to the success page, so the customer makes another transaction.

    Here is report file https://limewire.com/d/0c0ab205-53df-4888-adcb-c6d8e80c91f2#kHJtH48RqZmreqbuaxDAqhU9rhsLX0yVNmfwf5MOGF8

    Hello petek,

    Thank you for your reply.

I reviewed the report and everything looks good here.
However, I noticed the WPCode Lite plugin, may I ask what custom code you have there?

To assist you further, please edit the affected order and share screenshots of the Order notes with me.
These notes will provide me with detailed insights into what is happening at the backend.

Looking forward to your response. 🙂

    WP Code Lite:

It was used for a snipset to completely Disable Comments on post pages but it is not used now. It is used to add a hotjar tracking code into header and for facebook-domain-verification.

To assist you further, please edit the affected order and share screenshots of the Order notes with me.

I need instructions on how to edit and share screenshots – where can I find order ntes:

Stripe payment intent created (Payment Intent ID: xxxxxx

    Stripe charge complete (Charge ID:xxxxxx

Everything looks OK but in some cases – redirect is not working …

    Hello petek,

    Thank you for your reply.

You can find the Order Notes on the right side of the Order edit page.
Here is the documentation for more details.

You may share images with me using any image-sharing tool.
https://snipboard.io is one of many tools available. Upload the images and share URLs with me.

Everything looks OK but in some cases – redirect is not working …

Do you mean this problem is not occurring consistently?
Have you been able to reproduce it? I suggest you try placing a test order and check.

Looking forward to your response. 🙂

    Hi @biokatka,

Did disabling that plugin help? If not, I suspect the problem is being caused by something other than the Stripe for WooCommerce plugin. It appears the status report is no longer available, however, I reviewed the checkout page and found a few console errors:

    Screenshot link: https://d.pr/i/25G8rj

This tells us the scripts on the site’s checkout page are having trouble running, which could prevent WooCommerce from redirecting after successful payment.

My recommendation would be to review the active theme to determine if it is has outdated templates. This can be found under the “Templates” section on the status report under WooCommerce > Status. When a theme overwrites template files and those files are up to date, it can cause troubles when a more recent version of WooCommerce is installed.

If the theme has template files, you may want to consider updating the theme or reach out to the theme developer to get those templates updated.

I’d also recommend to ensure the latest version of WooCommerce is installed.

Please let us know what you find.
