    Hey all,

I’ve just updated my woocommerce pluggin to the lattest 4.0 version. Noticed on the checkout page that my stripe card icons are now black and white. Doesn’t look good, like it’s dead and might encourage more to go for PayPal which I’m not keen on generally. In the stripe options there’s an option for payment request button theme, dark, light, light-outlined. I figured this must be for that but when changing it to light etc nothing changes. I wonder where to change these card icons at the very bottom of the checkout when clicking card or paypal radio buttons is then?

Another thing I noticed… You must add the webhook endpoint https://www.mysite.co.uk/?wc-api=wc_stripe to your Stripe Account Settings Here so you can receive notifications on the charge statuses.

This must be a new thing as I’ve never seen it before, well again I go to stripe. Add webhook/endpoint…. and it says url not valid.

  • Hi I am also facing the same problem with regards to the black and white card icons.
    Can this be fixed? Thanks!

    Hi @getowned @blackdrakes

We have a dedicated Stripe forum, but I can answer these questions here.

    Black and white icons

This is correct, we changed the style with Stripe v4, but these are customisable, see the Stripe docs for more details – https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/stripe/#section-30

Correct, this is also new for Stripe v4, please ensure the URL is in the correct format and you are using this on a live website, the URL of a local site won’t work.

    Thanks,

    Hey @dougaitken

very kind of you to answer the question here on the woocommerce section with regards to a stripe issue after a woocommerce update.

Thank you for pointing me to the guide. As mentioned… it does not work… changing it from dark>light>light outlined or even the display size… nothing.

Why is the default option dark… it’s not a good choice. Default exactly how it was and let people choose dark if they so wish. Again it looks dead, you can’t even make out the icons.

I’m sorry to go on, but I do pay Stripe quite a lot of money.

    cheers.

Still doesn’t work a week later after lattest update. Joke.

Why mess with peoples colour themes.

    Hi there!

Take a look at this guide to changing the icons back, it definitely works:
