# Payment processing failed. Please retry

 * Hi,
    I keep having failed payments (in test and live mode). According to the 
   latest error: [http_request_failed] => Array ( [0] => cURL error 35: Unknown 
   SSL protocol error in connection to api.stripe.com:443 ) [stripe_error] => Array([
   0] => There was a problem connecting to the Stripe API endpoint.
 * My cURL version is 7.21.0, OpenSSL/0.9.8o.
    I am not sure what to do from there.
   Would you please be able to help?

 * This is not an issue with Stripe but with your hosting company. You need to ask
   them to update your cURL/SSL to the latest versions.

 * Hi,
 * Thank you for your reply. I have contacted my hosting provider. They told me 
   I needed to update my php from my dashboard and that will update my cURL. I did
   and it worked.
