# Payment method was called incorrectly

 * Hi recently we migrated to Kinsta server and whenever we get orders that triggered
   email via Kadence email templates, we got the following errors, that ultimately
   goes to the plugin.
 * The errors happen even when we use cash so didn’t go through the payment gateway.
   And it is on our production site.

 * Note we didn’t see these issue before the migration, so perhaps some database
   reset?

 * Hello Woocommerce Stripe team replied here and looks like Kadence email is calling
   an incorrect function:

 * “With your second issue (about refunds), what seems to be the case with your 
   error message is that there is something in an email template that is calling
   the incorrect function. The plugin that seems to be at the root of this is : /
   plugins/kadence-woocommerce-email-designer/templates/woo/email
 * I would say to try disabling that customized email template and seeing what happens
   there.”

    Our plugin doesn’t call “payment_method”.
 * Just because our template is being used (it’s just a template that calls actions
   there are no functions in it) doesn’t mean it’s an issue with our template, you
   might as well be saying that WordPress core is broken because wp-blog-header.
   php is called (called on every page) 🙂
 * So while I’m happy to look for you I need more information because as I said 
   there is no reference to “payment_method” in our plugin.
 * One guess I have is that you are testing with a mockup order in the customizer
   instead of real order. That can trigger errors like this with third-party plugins
   because they are expecting real order data and the mockup order is just a fake
   order with no real data. So if you are only getting the error when you open the
   email customizer and you are previewing with the mockup order it could make sense
   that your issue is related to the mockup order.
