• My site has received three orders over the past two days. For each order I have received an email saying that the order was cancelled. The orders are also marked as such on my dashboard. However, when I log into my PayPal account, the payments are there.

    Is there a reason the orders are getting marked as cancelled even though payment is complete?

  • Hi Terence – not sure if you’re still struggling with this, but I was and found the solution (for me) and wanted to share it here for you / others who find this via Google.

    It is to do with how stock / inventory levels are managed. If an order has been placed and payment has not been received (or the order has not been completed) then it can automatically be marked as ‘cancelled’ after a set period of time.

    Annoying, I know.

    But, here’s the fix: go to WooCommerce > Settings, click the ‘Products’ tab and the ‘Inventory’ sub tab, and set the ‘Hold Stock (minutes)’ setting to zero (or leave blank). If you don’t need inventory control at all, just untick ‘Enable Stock Management’.
