• Hello everyone first time on this forum. My customer sells products that do not have a set shipping charge, is there a way using Woocommerce to capture the customers payment information and enter in the shipping information at a later date when it is figured, then of course we would e-mail the customer a receipt. Let me know how to do this, I’ve seen it before and there must be a way. Thank you!

  • If using PayPal, in WooCommerce > Checkout > PayPal settings, you can set the payment method to either “Capture” (get 100% of the amount now) or “Authorise” (get part payments or up to 115% of the amount later)

There is more info about the difference in the methods here:

Alternatively there are plugins which allow your customers to set up a list of what they want to buy and then ask you for a quotation.

That helps a little bit, but the shipping on some of their large boxes may go over the $75 limit that Paypal allows. Is there another way?

Actually, I just looked up that you can call Paypal and have that amount increased. I will give them a call, thanks for the help!

If you know of a better way to go about this please don’t hesitate to share.
