# Payment error when using coupons

 * Hi there,
 * We are getting this error message in the cart when customers try to check out
   with PayPal and are also using a coupon:
 *     ```
       Payment error:
       An error occurred while processing your PayPal payment. Please contact the store owner for assistance.
       ```
   
 * To reproduce the error: add [this product](http://www.lenni-shop.com/product/saga-top-mauve-lace)
   to the cart and add the coupon code “fourtyoff”, then click the PayPal button.
 * This problem seems to be the same as [Thomas Chuntic](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/error-code-10413-when-checkout-with-coupon-discount).
 * We are using the latest version of the plugin (1.0.4) and cannot switch themes/
   disable all plugins to see if there is a conflict, as this is a live and active
   site with high traffic.

 * Can you enable logging by going to WooCommerce >> Settings >> Checkout >> PayPal
   express checkout and then [this](http://cld.wthms.co/GWPW/2wgDkUui+)
 * Once that’s done then try to perform another test order and when you get the 
   same issue, fetch the logs from WooCommerce >> System Status >> Logs >> PayPal.
   please post the logs here and we can verify what the exact issue is.

 * There are a couple of errors here. This one:
 *     ```
       [L_SHORTMESSAGE0] => Request for billing address failed
       [L_LONGMESSAGE0] => Billing address request is not enabled for merchant
       ```
   
 * You’ll need to enable this within your PayPal account; contact PayPal support
   for help with this.
 * I tested a 40% discount coupon on my store with version 1.1.1 and it works fine,
   are you still having trouble with processing orders with discounts applied?
