Pay with PayPal button appearing under payment table

    On checkout, when you have the option to select “PayPal” as a payment option, the tooltip appears below saying “Pay via PayPal”. As a user, I would then expect the PayPal button to appear underneath this text.

    However, instead, the PayPal button (DIV ID #ppc-button) is appearing underneath the payment table (DIV ID #payment), which is giving a bad user experience.

    Hi @solveweb,

    The PayPal smart buttons are replacing the regular “Place order” button and are not supposed to be rendered inside of the gateway description area.

    The integration uses the woocommerce_review_order_after_payment hook by default and it may still be possible to tweak the position to be more in line with the other button on your site thanks to the provided render hooks.

    For example like this:

    add_filter('woocommerce_paypal_payments_checkout_button_renderer_hook', function() {
    return 'woocommerce_review_order_before_submit';
});

    How this looks like in the end depends on multiple factors including the theme though.
    There will eventually be a feature to position the buttons inside of the gateway description field, but this will take some more time and is not easily achievable with PayPal Payments for the time being.
