Support » Plugin: Patreon WordPress » Patreon takes over during maintenance?

  • For some reason many users are seeing Patreons maintenance page when on the website. I assume this is only people who have linked or signed in with patreon.

I can’t even access WordPress admin

@crackmasterk i think you are a Patron Pro user. You may have acquired Patreon WordPress 1.2.3 in Patron Pro bundle from CodeBard site before it was updated.

You can either delete it and install the one from WP.org here, or you can download the updated package from CodeBard’s your account section again. If you do the latter, it should show 1.2.4 as version to prevent confusion.

Either of the plugins should make the issue go away.

If you are a pro user then please let the author know as pro users can’t be supported in these forums.

For pro or commercial product support please contact the author directly on their site. This includes any pre-sales topics as well.

As the author is aware, commercial products are not supported in these forums. I am sure they will have no problem supporting you there.

@jdembowski Thanks Jan. But its a little complicated:

Patreon WordPress is in the Patron Pro bundle with a total of 3 plugins. Only Patron Plugun Pro among those is premium. Patreon WordPress is free.

Since issue pertains to Patreon WordPress, it is actually quite informed on crackmaster and wisenoob’s part to open the topic in its forum.

We would prefer them to take their Patreon WordPress support requests to our official forum though, as i noted them.

It’s not complicated in the slightest bit. They’re your customer so they cannot seek support here from you and you can’t support them here either.

We would prefer them to take their Patreon WordPress support requests to our official forum though, as i noted them.

    And on that we agree.

@crackmasterk Please contact the author on their site. As I wrote above, they are not permitted to support any of their customers on this site.

To any user who may be reading this thread later or in future:

It has been explained to us that for any issue that is related to the free Patreon WordPress, you may open threads in this forum.

However we would prefer you to come to https://www.patreondevelopers.com/ and open your support requests there, where you can get faster support.

    Thanks.

I didn’t mean to get you into trouble @codebard just wanted to report what I was seeing. I will look into the other forums and look into the other version.

I only use the free Patreon WordPress plugin. I didn’t even know the pro bundle exists. I will use patreondevelopers.com for support in the future since it seems like that is the most direct way to receive it. Thanks for the info and great plugin!

@crackmasterk No problem. This issue pertains to the free plugin so opening a thread here seems to be ok, even if we would prefer you to open it at Patreon’s forum.

@thewisenoob Yeah wisenoob, there you will get a reply much faster.
