# Pasting text into Post Window

 * Hi I am a Newbie and this is probably really simple, so bear with me.
 * How do I paste text into my write window, is there a plugin to allow this?

 * For windows, try Ctrl-C to copy and ctrl-v to paste.
 * Similar shortcuts for mac users as well.

 * Don’t you have a Ctrl and V key on your keyboard?
    Why would you need a plugin?
   This is not a “WP issue” – it is about knowing your own computer 🙂 Also, right-
   click should bring up a menu where you can select “Paste”.
 * Warning: try not to paste into the wysiwyg editor from Word or from other websites–
   it will be ugly 🙂
