 * On the Kitchen Sink… I’m unable to “Paste from Word”. Everything looks correct
   when I do the paste from Word into the box that opens, but when I click “Insert”
   I lose all formatting.
 * I know how to format using HTML and/or CSS, but this is a client’s site. They
   would need the “Paste from Word” functionality.

 * Hi [@jockoe](https://wordpress.org/support/users/jockoe/)
 * What happens if you do Paste from Word? Does it work at all? It is buggy at the
   best of times, but it usually works.

 * First, I’ll describe the text I prepare in Word. I write the word “Alert!” in
   size 48 font. It is red and bold. Followed by another line of regular text.
 * I go to the “Popup” menu in the WordPress dashboard and edit an existing popup.
   In the “Popover content” I click the button for “Paste from Word”. I copy and
   paste the text I prepared in my Word document. It looks like it should when I
   paste it. I click the “Insert” button to insert the formatted text into the “
   Popover content” and it loses some formatting. When inserted, both lines of text
   are normal size and “Alert!” is no longer red. Though it is still bold.

 * Hi [@jockoe](https://wordpress.org/support/users/jockoe/)
 * I’m afraid that this is normal, the whole point of the paste from word button
   is to strip the incompatible formatting. For things like color and size, you
   will have to manually add those again. It preserves Bolt, Italic and Underline
   but I’m pretty sure it’s not intended to preserve colors and sizes I’m afraid.

 * Hi Mike,
 * Thanks for clearing it up for me. I was not understanding the way it works. I
   was thinking I (clients) could format the text in Word and then past it to the
   popup, which I suspect would make it easier for them..
