Paste as plain text by default

    Wow – that’s a very good question.

    I guess pasting into the “text” side of the editor would be similar to “paste as plain text”.

    I do know the visual editor does some formatting on pasted text. This is because of the numerous people pasting from MSWord. However, it’s still not quite right, I think.

    Where are you getting the text you are pasting? Have you tried pasting in the “text” side of the editor?

    I did not try to paste text in “text” side, I doing it when I need to paste code and I think it working for text also.
    Any way I found this plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/paste-as-plain-text/
    that let you paste as plain text by default.

    This is definitely a feature I will add to WP Edit in a future release.
