    Do you mean authenticate a password? Or query for a user by password? Or get a user’s password given a login name or other know criteria? What Google translate did with you question resulted in ambiguity.

    As you may know, WP does not store passwords, so you cannot literally query for a password. WP stores a cryptographic hash of passwords. You can verify a password matches. You can get the user’s password hash, but you cannot query by password unless the plain text password is already available.

    i mean a password field to insert a password to switch in an internal area of the webside.

    In the quick-edit of the page i can write a password, but i canĀ“t find a possibility to ask for it on the webside, to save the content below.

    Requesting a protected page’s password is managed by WP when a template calls the_content() to display a protected page’s content. Unless a password has previously been entered, a password field is displayed instead of content. You shouldn’t have to do anything special to have the field shown for protected pages.
