# Password Restore

 * When clicking on the email link after requesting a restore of a password I get
   the following appear on a new page:
 * Failed security check, expired Activation Link due to duplication or date.
 * it happens every time – any idea what I have done wrong?

 * Please request another password and, with the same browser, click in the link(
   just once) from the received mail.

 * thank you. now it seems (after creating a profile edit page), clicking on the
   lost password says I need to be logged in.

   passwor” pages from the dashboard, and also update the permalinks.

 * I tried to follow the thread above but could not get it to Restore Password to
   work. I get the same thing “Failed security check, expired Activation Link due
   to duplication or date.”
    I have a Lost Password Page with shortcolde [clean-
   login-restore] Everything works fine until I click on the link from the email
   I receive. It goes the a blank page with “Failed security check, expired Activation
   Link due to duplication or date.” What should the permalinks be set to for this
   plugin…

 * You only need to use same browser session, this is a feature of the WordPress
   core through the wp_nonces functions. Best security but sometimes not the best
   reliability.

 * Thank you. It worked.
    In case others read this thread, you have to be on the
   same browser (Chrome/FireFox,Opera,etc) that you requested the restore password.
   I was requesting the restore password on FireFox and viewing my email on Chrome.
   That does not work.
