  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems?

    Thanks for the reply, esmi.

    The problem is, I can’t get into the dashboard to switch the default theme.

    I did go into cpanel and changed the plugins folder to plugins.off, but that had no effect.

    I also changed the name of the theme I’m running in hopes that it might default to the default template. But no luck there, either.

    Is the twentyten theme folder available in wp-content/themes?

    Yes. I can see, and access, the twentyten theme folder using cPanel.

    Try downloading WordPress again and delete then replace your copies of everything except the wp-config.php file and the /wp-content/ directory with fresh copies from the download.
