I must be blind, because..
Add the Landing Page slug to your list of "Exclude the following URLs" at UM -> Settings -> Access -> Restriction Content
is a non-starter. There’s no “exclude the following URLs” at UM > Settings > Access > Restriction Content.
@darrylhadfield
I will change to
UM Settings -> Access -> Restriction Content -> Exclude the following URLs
and click “Add new URL”
“Restriction Content” is the default page at “Access”

Thank you, however, that still doesn’t work. There is no “exclude the following URLs”, there is no “Add New URL”…
I’m running UM 2.5.0 on WP 6.0.1, and here’s a screenshot of what I see under Settings > Access

As you can see… no “exclude content”, no “Add New URL”…
Okay, I think I may understand now..
If I restrict global site access to only logged in users, then I have the ability to add new URLs (ie I see the button, “Add New URL”).
However, I don’t WANT to restrict access to my whole site – I don’t want to restrict access to any of it.
That being said, can you offer another suggestion on how to achieve the desired end result of fixing the password reset issue?
@darrylhadfield
It’s OK, you don’t need to set the Access rule because your site is open for access by everybody.
Thanks, and… that’s progress, but still doesn’t work.
The link for the password reset takes me to a page that shows this:

And after I click that button, I get:
View post on imgur.com
So I’m back where I started.
For reference, I have used Code Snippet to add in the code you’d shared.

I was having the same issue with the set_password_link always returning invalid. I rolled the plugin back to version 2.4.1 and it is working as intended. Hope this helps!
That does help – where did you get v2.4.1 from?
@darrylhadfield Here you go! Scroll to the bottom and you can grab older versions.
Thank you VERY much! Testing this now…
@darrylhadfield Great! Keep me posted, curious if this resolves your issue. Everything was working for me and I was banging my head trying to figure out what the issue was and why it stopped working, and realized that the only change was the update.
Well… it must be a cloudflare caching thing because this didn’t fix it.
Sadly, this means I’m dumping UM. I know the base-level PW reset in WP works… it’s UM’s functionality that’s causing issues, so, to the trash heap it goes.

Have you done customization of the Password Reset password-reset.php or Password change password-change.php templates?
