I have requested a password reset so many times I cannot even count and I am not getting the email, any ideas? The password was reset by the admin of the site and that didn’t work. Any help would be appreciated.

    – In WordPress, there is more than one way for Rsetting Your Password .

    Hi there,

There are a couple of ways to reset your password, check this guide and see which one best fits your problem:

If you can’t get the password reset email and don’t have another admin account available, try with MySQL, phpMyAdmin or FTP.

    Cheers

I am not an admin of the account I am trying to access.

You can try the other available ways to reset your password, check this guide and try the with MySQL, phpMyAdmin or FTP options.

I don’t have FTP access to the site I am trying to get into. I think I am just SOL.

PS. I appreciate the feedback but as I am not an admin of this site, I cannot do any of this things. The only option for me is the email reset, which is not working.

You need some kind of access to reset your password if you’re not getting the reset password email. In this case, ask the administrator of the website to manually reset your password for you, then log in and change your password to something secure from the WordPress dashboard.

That’s what I was afraid of. I am trying to get in touch with them because something is not working with the email reset. It just is not coming through. I would love to be able to get through to someone at WordPress. I have checked my junk mail and everything else I can think of to get that email but it just isn’t coming through.

WordPress is free software and this free, volunteer-staffed forum is the only support resource available via wordpress.org.

As @nyxko indicated, you need some kind of access to reset your password via with MySQL, phpMyAdmin or FTP options

Thank you everyone for your answers. I do not have admin access so my only hope is to have an admin do this for me (I have reached out) or have someone at WordPress fix the email reset.

or have someone at WordPress fix the email reset

As Tara was trying to allude to, there is no one “at WordPress.” We’re all volunteers here, no paid staff, and no one who would have access to the site anyway. All WordPress installations are entirely self-contained.

You will need to get in touch with the person who runs the site in question. There is no other way.

Yes, I get that and as i said I have reached out to that person.
