I use the password protection feature when I publish an article. However, for the past two days, the protection of my articles has not been removed even when I enter the correct password.
    What should I do?

  • I assume you mean the function in WordPress with which you can protect a page with an individual password? Have you already deactivated all plugins to see if it works correctly without them? I would also recommend changing the theme to a standard theme such as TwentyTwentyThree – this could also interfere here.

Do you mean that the password you have set is not working? Have you tried updating the password on one of your posts?

    Thanks for your advice!

Yes, I meant the function in WordPress with which you can protect a page with an individual password.
After I received your advice, I’ve deactivated all plugins and changed the theme to TwentyTwentyThree.
And also I’ve updated the password.
But the password function doesn’t work well yet…

“doesn’t work well yet” means? Did you get any error?

    There are no error messages.
However, even though I correctly entered the password I set, the protection is not removed and I cannot open the article.

Have you already tested this with different browsers?

I tried with a different browser and succeeded in removing the protection.
    Thank you very much.

However, I find it very problematic that the password protection does not work in some browsers.
    How can this be resolved?

This is a browser-specific problem. Cookies may be blocked in the browser or some other overzealous security mechanism may be intervening.

    I got it.
Thank you a lot for your help!
