# Password protected posts

 * Secondary titles are completely missing on password-protected posts (the `post_password_required`
   filter seems to block the automatic output). When the password is removed, the
   secondary title displays correctly again. Is this since the last update of WordPress?
   I don’t know. But I protect my posts because of a bot-attack in February Could
   you please tell me if there is a possible solution?

    1. Do you use the “Automatic” mode for Secondary Title?
    2. What exactly is your title format (if you use one)?
 * That allows me to hopefully reproduce the error and bring out a fix quickly.

 * Thanks for the quick reply!
    1. Regarding the automatic mode: **[****Autoshow = on****]**.
    2. My Title Format is: **[%title% <span style=”font-size: 10pt”>%secondary_title%
       </span>]**
 * Just to remind you: the issue only happens when the post is password-protected.
   When it’s protected, the secondary title disappears. Yesterday, I tried a few
   other settings, but it didn’t change a thing.
