• I have a blog on WordPress 4.1 running Organic NonProfit theme.

I have a password protected page that sporadically works. About half the time you can’t log in. The other half it just doesn’t work. There’s no error message or anything, I don’t know if there’s supposed to be.

I have only a very small number of plugins installed beyond the custom theme. And this used to work fine, I think, until upgrading to WordPress 4.

The weird thing is that if login does work, and I can see the page, and I delete all my cookies, it doesn’t change anything. And I can even open a new chrome window and go to the page and I’m logged in.

I used to have wp-cache installed, but I deleted it because I thought maybe it was a caching issue. There doesn’t seem to be any cache-control header and max-age is 0.

I’m at a loss here. Ideas?

    Hi,

I’d start by looking into the caching here, you mentioned you removed the cache plugin, did you also remove the files it installs (most, if not all, cache plugins have a “how to uninstall” process that involves manually removing some files from your system) ?
