First off, try:
Manually resetting your plugins (no Dashboard access required). If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.
If that does not resolve the issue, access your server via SFTP or FTP, or a file manager in your hosting account’s control panel, navigate to /wp-content/themes/
and rename the directory of your currently active theme. This will force the default theme to activate and hopefully rule-out a theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).
If you need to reset your password, please review this article:

I tried manually resetting and it didn’t work. I am confused about the second suggestion you provided, can you explain it a little more if you don’t mind?
Thank you very much !

That involves switching to the unedited default Theme (Twenty Twenty, etc.) for a moment to rule out any theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).
To do that, access your server via SFTP or FTP, or a file manager in your hosting account’s control panel, navigate to /wp-content/themes/
and rename the directory of your currently active theme. This will force the default theme to activate and hopefully rule-out a theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).
Thank you for the response!
I have difficulty accessing the control panel of the hosting account because I am not the one that created the website but was given ownership of it after it was created, so I am unable to login and am unaware of the login credential for the CPanel. Is there a way to access the server another way to change the directory of the current theme without using a file manager?
Much gratitude

Is there a way to access the server
Please contact the hosting provider.
We here have no control or access to any server.
Hello,
I contacted the hosting provider and was able to gain access to the server through FTP FileZilla. When you say ” navigate to /wp-content/themes/ and rename the directory of your currently active theme.”, my current theme is called /wp-content/themes/oceanwp/
You suggest I directly change the name of /wp-content/themes/oceanwp/ to something else like /wp-content/themes/wpocean/ ?
Thank you very much, I appreciate all the help you have provided so far!

something like wpoceanHOLD
Hi,
I was able to change the name of the directory but unfortunately, it did not have the desired effects. After changing the name back, and reactivating it to be the active theme, I tried to enter the password-protected page again and it still did not let me in, even though I am certain that my input password is correct.
Is there any other suggestion solution you have in mind?
Once again, I appreciate all the effort and help!
Much gratitude

I’m out of ideas.
Try asking tech of your hosting provider.
Hello,
I’m sorry to be bothering you again but I have contacted the support of my hosting provider and they replied the only solution is to hire a WordPress developer to try to fix this issue.
I was searching and found this article: https://toolset.com/errata/fully-integrated-themes-layouts-break-password-protection-pages/
Do you think I could implement this even though the article written was meant for it to be a solution in Toolset? The same concept applies, by writing to the functions.php file for my current theme and adding some code?
Thank you very much!
