WP Job Manager
[resolved] Password protected job listings and single (5 posts)

I'm not sure how to do this.

I want my job listings and single job page to be password protected, preferably using the WordPress ordinary post/page password protection.

When I apply it to jobs, only the description stays hidden.

I'm almost certain that I can make this with a minimum of WP Job Manager template editing, probably content-single-job_listing.php. Am I right?

Or it isn't possible or hard to do?

You could make (or edit if it exists in the theme) a single-job_listing.php template file and add any protection logic in there. The contents of that file (if it doesn't exist) should mirror your single.php template.

FYI, Job Manager core hooks all content into the content, so I'd guess you are using a theme like Jobify which has more templating code.

I'm not sure I understand your solution. Maybe because the theme I'm using has a different approach, like you suggest (no, not Jobify).

Anyway, I'm going to try something different. I'll password protect the job listing page, not the single – which was a bad idea, to have the user insert a password for every job…

Thanks for your prompt reply and for your work with Job Manager. I'll test the plugin further and review it later.

OK, password protecting the job list page did it.

As to the rest, I'm really digging this plugin. Thanks again for your good work Mike.
