I have been testing the various methods for creating private events using The Events Calendar. When I tried using the WordPress “Visibility: Password protected” option, it seemed to work:
    – The title of event is prefixed with “Protected:”.
    – On the event page there is a message that says “This content is password protected. To view it please enter your password below:”.
    – The text in the body of the protected event is not visible through the List or Day views for the plugin.

However, when I hover the cursor over the event in the month calendar view, the text in the body of the event is visible! I would expect that the content of the event would be protected here as it is in all of the other views for the event.

I hope you are able to fix this bug! Thank you for your work on this great plugin.

    Howdy Boskote,

Thank your for the bug report. That is definitely something we want to fix. It was recently reported to us, and we have it slated for fix just as soon as we can. It was reported too late in the cycle to be fixed with the release that is currently undergoing quality assurance testing (3.10). Since it is already in QA, no new features or code is getting added. But, if I was a betting man I would say a fix for this will be a high priority for 3.11.

    Cheers!

    – Brook
