• I have our sermon archive displayed on a page called “members” which I am trying to password protect. That page is set up with a password in WordPress, but it does not seem to be asking for it when the page is visited. It is still public. I’m not sure what is causing that. Seems like something is conflicting with the password feature.

We just want the sermons to be under a password somehow. Maybe there is another way to do this other than how I am trying.

I am up to date on all the latest updates of Sermon Manager and everything else in WordPress.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi there,

    Apologies for the delay.

Are you using a shortcode to display the sermons on that page?

I thought I was, but I guess I just have the members page set as the archive page slug in settings.

So, any thoughts I what I could do to password protect?

Just checking in again. How can I password protect sermons?

I was able to get a password to work. I changed the archive page to “media.” Then I used shortcode for the page I wanted password protected which is “members.” I was able to use the WordPress password protect feature.

But all I wanted was to be able to password protect the archive page. I like how the archive page looks. It simply lists all the sermons with a filter at the top for sorting. Is there a way to use shortcodes to produce exactly the same thing as the archive page?
